Inclusive Learning for All Ages: Our curriculum is thoughtfully designed to be engaging and accessible for both children (ages 7+) and adults, ensuring that the flame of heritage is passed down to the next generation while allowing adults to reconnect with their roots at their own pace. The Programme Structure Our curriculum is divided into two academic years, each spanning 40 weekly online sessions held on weekends.
Year 1: Foundation to Fluency (Beginner to Intermediate)
o The Script (Borno-Porichoy): A gentle introduction to the Bengali alphabet, vowels, and consonants.
o Conversational Basics: Build the confidence to engage in daily ‘Adda,’ from greetings to expressing emotions.
o Grammar & Syntax: Understand the structure of sentences and common verb conjugations. Learn to write at a basic level.
o Cultural Context: Learn to read through folk tales, rhymes, and the vocabulary of Bengali food and festivals.
Year 2: Literature & Expression (Intermediate to Advanced)
o Literary Exploration: Dive into the works of Tagore, Nazrul, and modern Bengali poets.
o Advanced Composition: Move beyond basics to writing essays, letters, and creative stories.
o Dialects & Nuance: Understand the subtle differences between Cholitobhasha and the rhythmic beauty of regional dialects.
o Debate & Oratory: Master the art of ‘Tarko-Bitorko’—learning to present complex ideas and participate in intellectual discourse.
